Understand why you need a TRN…

Anyone can apply for a TRN, including non-Jamaicans and non-residents. A TRN is needed in order for you to transact business with key institutions e.g. Government Bodies, Banks, Schools, Examination boards etc. All Applicants (individuals and organisations) are required to register and receive a Taxpayer Registration Number (TRN) by completing the relevant application form and submitting it to the TAJ.

For more information about applying for a TRN, see the next steps of this business process guideline.

Complete the relevant form(s) and provide any supporting information/documents…

Application Requirements:

  • To apply for your TRN, you will be required to complete an application using the form - Application for taxpayer registration (individuals). This can be done in office or online.
